The monkey “Juhuti” was the lord of all places of knowledge, and the writing of all letters was under his supervision as (the master of the house of life).

His worship and reverence spread across many regions across the country, and it is not certain whether “Khmenu” (Al-Ashmounin) in Middle Egypt was his first center of worship or not, but it was certainly his main center of worship during the different historical eras.
Perhaps the monkey, Gehuti, had an early place of worship in the Delta, specifically in the fifteenth region, as the “Ibiguillade” was a symbol of this region.
Gehuti had chapels of worship in the Delta, the Kharga oasis, and Sarabit al-Khadim in Sinai, and a little to the west of al-Ashmounin, specifically in Tuna al-Jabal, there is a cemetery containing thousands of mummies of the ibis and the mummified monkey, which was presented as a votive offering for this. idol.
