Seth’s association with chaos and disorder can be seen in his role in the Osiris myth. According to the myth, Seth killed his brother Osiris out of jealousy and dismembered his body, scattering the pieces across Egypt. Seth represented the forces of disruption, violence, and the struggle for power. He was often seen as a rival to the order and stability represented by Osiris and his son Horus.
